Lucy the Goosey
Here's my homemade version of Lucy Goosey from The Long Thread tutorial.
Lucy's humongous beak was so tricky to attach that halfway, I just wanted to just stop and toss her fabric carcass away. But then at the back of my mind, I knew it wasn't right. I was way too attached in making her look seamlessly perfect instead of enjoying the meditative trance of looping thread, fabric and needle together. I was too attached to the outcome rather than enjoying the process.
In creating crafts as in life, enjoying the experience is primary. Release the attachment to the outcome. Let it be. Accept and enjoy whatever it is.
Have a refreshing weekend everyone!
