The cold January weather has inspired me to do some cozy, comfy felt-based crafts such as these heartwarming projects from Claire Young's Scandinavian Needlework book.  I'll make some felt garlands and ornaments (for Christmas 2011) in the days to come. I thought I'd better take advantage of the cold weather crafting mojo while I still have it.    

The projects are easy to follow although the embroidery bit is quite time consuming.  I love making these crafts before bedtime as embroidery is oh so relaxing!
